Megan's Law

In 2004, California Assembly Bill 488 was enacted that requires specific information about certain sex offenders be made accessible through a California Department of Justice Internet Web site. Known as California's Megan's Law, the public can now access information regarding the wehereabouts of sex offenders in their local community in order to make informed decisions about protecting themselves and their children.
