Family of Minimum Security Inmate Escapee located in Kern County

For Immediate Release:

The wife and children of the minimum facility escapee Victor NILA have been located following a single vehicle roll over accident. The accident occurred in Kern County on Interstate-5, Northwest of Bakersfield and is being investigated by CHP. The Grey/Green Ford minivan, previously listed as a possible vehicle that escapee NILA may have access to, was the vehicle involved in the accident. Escapee NILA was not at the accident scene when law enforcement arrived. According to Kern County Deputies who conducted interviews, the wife advised that she and the children were returning from a family outing in Southern California when the accident occurred and they have no information on escapee Nila. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time however it was believed that one of the children may have sustained serious injuries in the accident. The identity of the wife is not being released at this time.
