Effective 6/19/2020, the following services are now being made available for "in person" contact at the Sheriff's Office:

  • All civil processes, except evictions and real property levies.
  • Report requests for the public are available via phone or at the records counter.
  • All CCW- initials requests, renewals and modifications will be online through Permitium, available on the Sheriff's Webpage.
    • CCW applicants will be contacted to schedule "in person" appointments.
    • Renewals/modifications will be processed and contacted with a time to pick up CCW.
  • Vehicle release requests will be handled at the records counter, as needed.
  • Registrants- these will be handled by "walk in" or by phone interview.
  • Live scan services are available to the public by appointment only. Services will be scheduled in one hour time slots to allow for proper cleaning procedures. Appointments to the general public are available on Tuesdays from 8-11AM and on Thursdays 1-4PM
  • In Person visiting is still suspended at the Sutter County Jail in compliance with recommendations from the Board of State and Community Corrections. The public will be updated of additional changes as information becomes available.

Sutter Deputies Conduct Tobacco Sting

Sutter County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by Sutter County Health Department employees conducted a tobacco decoy operation in the Yuba City-Live Oak area. Using underage Sheriff’s Cadets, attempts were made at nineteen local businesses to purchase tobacco items. Clerks at fourteen of the nineteen businesses complied with the law against selling tobacco to minors and should be commended. Those stores were identified as:

  2. AM-PM Mini Mart-1332 Bogue Road, Yuba City
  3. Quick Stop-1620 Lincoln Road, Yuba City
  4. Tim’s Mini Mart-1619 Lincoln Road, Yuba City
  5. Mikes’ Mini Mart-1591 Franklin Road, Yuba City
  6. Bill’s Market and Delli-1443 Franklin Road, Yuba City
  7. Quik-n-Stop-2590 Buttehouse Road, Yuba City
  8. 76 Station-7505 Highway 20, Sutter
  9. Tiff’s Mini Mart-9881 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak
  10. Bootlegger Discount Liquor and Video-9915 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak
  11. Superstop #2-2494 Archer Avenue, Live Oak
  12. MG Liquor’s-2920 Pennington Road, Live Oak
  13. Exxon Station-10375 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak
  14. King’s Market-10153 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak

The following businesses and clerks were cited when they sold tobacco to underage cadets:

  1. Mr. Paul’s Market, 2255 Buttehouse Road, Yuba City. Clerk Mary Hughes, 17, cited for 308 (a) PC-sale of tobacco to a minor.
  2. Sunny’s Market, 9820 Broadway, Live Oak. Clerk Irene Rivera, 26, cited for 308 (a) PC-sale of tobacco to a minor.
  3. More for Less, 10020 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak. Clerk Marie Quaadman, 29, cited for 308 (a) PC-sale of tobacco to a minor.
  4. 99 Discount Store, 10017 Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak. Clerk Kulwinder Kaur, 37, cited for 308 (a) PC-sale of tobacco to a minor.
  5. Munger’s Market, 7803 South Butte Road, Sutter. Clerk Jennifer Ward, 26, cited for 308 (a) PC-sale of tobacco to a minor.
