Sutter County Sheriff's Deputies Take Second Place in Police Memorial Pistol Match

Four Sutter County Sheriff's Deputies recently competed in a pistol match against other law enforcement agencies and earned second place. Beale Air Force Base sponsored the match to promote recognition of National Police Memorial Week. The event pitted members of the US military and local law enforcement in several scenarios containing shoot/don't shoot options. The Sutter County team was comprised of Sergeant Dave McFarland and Deputies Bruce Ramos, Tom Tate and Dan Buttler. In all, twelve teams competed in the event including a team from Nevada County Sheriff's Department and the US Army. All the proceeds from the event were to be given to the 911/New York Memorial and the California Police Memorial.
