Sutter County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Gun Safety in County Schools

For Immediate Release:

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Reserves and Sheriff’s Cadets will be conducting Gun Safety Programs in fourteen local Sutter County Elementary Schools. This program is funded through a grant from the Friends of the NRA, and teaches Kindergarten through the third grade school children what to do if they find a gun. They are to “Stop, Don’t Touch, Leave the Area, and Tell an Adult.” We are expecting to teach 2,500 children this important message.

We are presenting the program at the following schools:

Grace Baptist Church private school, Oct. 17th
Marcum Illinois Elementary, Oct. 23rd
Luther Elementary, Oct. 23rd
Pleasant Grove Elementary, Oct. 24th
Browns Elementary, Oct. 25th
Lincoln Elementary, Oct. 26th
Adventist Church private school, Oct. 26th
Encinal Elementary, Oct. 30th
Andros Karperos Elementary, Oct. 31st
Robbins Elementary, Nov. 1st
Winship Elementary, Nov. 1st
Meridian Elementary, Nov. 1st
Central Gather Elementary, Nov. 8th
Brittan Elementary, Jan. 11th
