Stolen Property Recovered

On January 5, 2011, the Sutter County Sheriff’s Detectives served a search warrant for stolen property in the 200 block of Moore Avenue, Yuba City with the assistance of the Yuba City Police Department and Gang Task Force.

The search warrant was a result of numerous investigations conducted jointly by the two agencies and the Gang Task Force into recent burglaries in the Sutter County area. As a result of the search warrant, Sheriff’s Detectives recovered property that was identified as items reported stolen from Lincoln Elementary School, Lincrest Elementary School and River Valley High School. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were recovered as well as illegal firearms, laptop computers, a big screen TV, and other property believed to be stolen.

Irene Guzman-Moyano, 32, from Yuba City, was booked into Sutter County Jail on charges of possession for sale of a controlled substance.

The investigation is on-going and more arrests are anticipated. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact the Sutter County Sheriff’s Department at (530) 822-7307.
