Wednesday, September 29, 2010 3:36 PM

For Immediate Release:

The autopsy results on the accident victim from Sunday night’s fatal crash on Highway 99/Tudor Road revealed the cause of death to be “blunt force trauma." The Sheriff Coroner’s investigation into the cause of death has been ruled a suicide. It has been determined the decedent had talked with the passenger in the vehicle about ending it all. Through the interview it was determined the decedent removed his seat belt and had also instructed the victim passenger do so as well. He then swerved into the path of the ongoing semi truck.

This case is also being investigated as attempted murder suicide, with the suspect dying during the attempted murder. The victim was being treated in a Sacramento area hospital.
