Live Oak Girl Reports Abduction

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating
a female juvenile taken in a reported abduction that occurred in Live Oak, CA.

On Monday, April 12, 2010, at approximately 3:00 P.M., Chico CHP advised Sutter
County Sheriff’s Dispatch that their officer was out with Orland Police Department
in Glenn County, with a female juvenile who reported to have been abducted
along with another female juvenile from Live Oak High School shortly after 8:00 A.M. that

The California Highway Patrol had contacted the female juvenile at a gas station
in Orland, California shortly after 3:00 P.M. who said that she and her friend, Elvia
Flores, 14 years old, had been abducted by several Hispanic males from the Live
Oak High School while attempting to go to class. They had apparently arrived
late for school and were walking to the office when the Hispanic males
approached them and abducted them. The one female was able to escape when
the suspects pulled in to a gas station in Orland. 

The suspect's vehicle is described as a large brown colored 4 door sedan. One of
the suspects is described as a Hispanic male, tall with a slender build, possibly
wearing a black t-shirt, with a ball-cap style hat that has “Nor Cal” in either orange or red letters.

A Broadcast and teletype to all law enforcement agencies went out immediately.
An Amber Alert was sent out as soon as it was determined that all the criteria
was met. 

The missing victim is Elvia Flores, Hispanic Female Juvenile, 14 years old, 5-2, 110
pounds, brown eyes, brown shoulder length hair. Elvia was last seen wearing a pink
sweater with a hood, blue jeans, pink and yellow Nike shoes.
