Live Oak Traffic Offender Program

The traffic offender program’s purpose is to lower the incidence of injury and fatal
accidents through promoting traffic awareness while targeting problem areas. The program
involves several areas such as Driving under the Influence (DUI) Checkpoints, Car Seat
Checkpoints, Seat Belt Enforcement, and the Live Oak Bicycle Rodeo.
DUI checkpoints are normally scheduled by the Sheriff's Department once a month throughout
the county and sponsors several Car Seat Checkpoints and Bicycle Rodeo’s each year.
